Camp Lionheart needs volunteers throughout the week to assist with the many activities the kids are involved in. If you are interested in volunteering for one of the activities listed below, please contact the Clinical Director.
Camp Lionheart partners with Master's and PhD level Clinical Counseling, Psychology and Social Work students from local colleges and universities to assist the clinical grief staff in their efforts. If you are a Master's or PhD student or licensed clinician looking to develop your grief, traumatic grief, recent event trauma and complex and developmental trauma practice, please contact the Clinical Director regarding the application process to become a supervised, volunteer, co-facilitator at camp. Clinical volunteer positions go very fast and are highly competitive.
Non-Clinical Volunteer Opportunities:
Registration-check in volunteers (checking in, parking help, etc.)
Making and picking up blankets for the campers (alongside Project Linus)
Making/buying journals and small pillows for the campers (alongside Kindred Hospice)
Tie dye day help (we need help, tie dye is hard for 150 people!)
Talent show and dance night (setup, decor, snacks, etc.)
Pickup, parent/caregiver meeting, and memorial ceremony help (setup, tear down)
